Sorry, have not really been looking for one. Have not seen any, either.
Try www.justbandits.com

Careful though, you will get a lot more road grime sprayed everywhere.
With the stock tail guard, the bottom of my ventura bag was muddy after a day of riding on wet roads. I figure it would be worse with an eliminator. Anyone else able to comment on this? scratch

Ive been looking for one. But so far ive had no luck. Most look bad. And they all replace the entire under tail piece.

i was thinking i might cut off the bottom bit of the rear plastic guard to above the bottom of the number plate - how do you think that would go? Idea

It is super easy and looks a hell of a lot better.
Just hit it with a dremel or equivelant but if you have neither, a hacksaw and a file will do the job nicely too.
I did it in stages...

Another option is to cut it all the way back to the undertail removing the plastic plate mount completely. Once done fab up a bracket that bolts through the undertail and all you are left with is a plate and indicators.

Then just cut half the subframe off and make your own tail piece. Job done, fender - eliminated. Very Happy

I was thinking of doing it...but on our model the fender is shaped with edges and all...i wasnt sure if it would look any good..
Ive been looking around to see if anybody else has done it to look at.

I agree, it looks much better with the rear gaurd trimmed, but be prepared for the extra spray of water/dirt.

Heres my attempt, made a bracket from stainless to raise the number plate, you do get a little spray on the tail light but not enough to worry about.

I did that on the weekend [same as tj1] although i need to move the number plate up - it's still in the same position but i think you can just drill another 2 holes in the fender about 4 or 5 cm up and looks as though the same bracket will fit - i will have a closer look on the weekend. i rode back from OPH on sunday and it started raining at Pymble and there wasn't too much muck up the back [although the plate is still hanging down].

also have you had a look at the holeshot website - there's a section there for 1250's and they have photos of their exhaust pipes - the bike in the photos has EXACTLY what I want [i would put it here but dont know how] in tail appearance - have a look - the bandit looks totally schmicko

Haha, finished is not a word I could ever use on the old girl.

This is how it looks currently, but I am itching to repaint it, put a Speed Triple tail on it and a few million other things.

Yep. Some projects are never truly "finished". They just seem to keep evolving. Lookin good mate, big fan of the streetfighter look. Speaking of which I think I've seen you on ASF. I'm a sometimes lurker there.

Don't know what it's like elsewhere but here in Qld the spineless parasites in blue are a little fond of booking bikes with fender eliminators (in the interests of ROAD SAFETY not REVENUE of course - fender eliminators KILL)

Not sure about WA , i see plenty of bikes around here that would be considered not legal. I have had the rear fender of my vstrom completely chopped off for 3 years and commuted and went past plenty of police, and never got questioned.

SA have the 45degree rule and love to have little blitzes on nice days just out of popular towns in the hills!
As said before obviously rouge fenders kill dozens each year! Sad

Cruise control: What front end you running on the Bandit? Looks the part for sure. I was thinking about something similar, but not sure what'll fit the 1250 without having clearance issues with the radiator.\

Reardo: with a PC3 and speedohealer I can't fit anything else in mine. Thats what the top box is for I guess.

It is off an '03 GSX-R1000.
By far and away the best thing I ever did for the bike. It made me realise just how bad the stock front really was.

As far as clearance goes are you concerned about turning clearance?
If so, it is a fairly simple matter of modding the bottom clamp to suit the steering stops.
I have never bothered and just use the tank as a fairly effective stop. It offers great incentive to avoid full lock whenever possible. Laughing
