Front guard .
Have you ever looked at the front guard .I mean "really looked at it ".
The front looks fantastic ,swooping lines and fins. Definately designed buy a Batman fan . Unfortuneately he only did the front half ,and due to a big
night out, the accountant thought he could finish off the remainder ,and failed .
It looks two bits joined together .
The good
THe other boring bit .
The ideal way (i think ,open to suggestions ) is to cover it with c\fibre ,but the shape and cost (to me ) has stopped that . But it would be possible
to do the front half and fade it to the back with a black paint .
Ive sprayed the back half so far .
Anyone interested enough for me to take pics of the carbon bit ,.win or disaster .

You cut their trees down they burn your house down. Can see how you would come in 2nd best there.
Re: Front guard .

Re: Front guard .
The lines are probably more obvious on the naked Bandit.
I agree it looks unfinished but its harder to see the back end on the S.
I'm not sure how you're planning to blend the lines but I'm interested in seeing the results.
Carbon Fiber is fine by me.

I hate the front guard. I wish it had the normal guard like the GSX1400

+1 wrt the S model. After I added the belly pan (which I really like), I never noticed the back end of the guard at all. A bit like having a sore thumb - after you then break your toe at the same time you forget about the thumb!

I'm confused with the guard though. Are we looking at a complete molded guard or cf draped over the original?
Re: Front guard .
Its just a piece of carbon over the front section of guard . The rear will be painted black as its fairly hidden and i carnt be bothered doing it .
Piece of carbon cost me $10 resin $5 so its a good play thing so far .
It will be heavyer than the normal guard (just ) and no stronger but it should look o.k .The piece of carbon i got (of-cut ,$6000 a roll )
was just a little narrow and i ended up getting the lines a bit crooked .
Never mind i can put another layer over the top .This one was just a trail run . I'm hopeing you wont notice .
I waxed the top of the guard so it might jump ship (bike ) at speed . I just couldnt bring myself to sand the guard with 80 grit in case
i didnt like the look .This way i can pop it off and you would never know .(i hope )
I'll sand it tomorrow .

New front fender
Gus,
Wait until you see the really nice looking front fender Dale at Holeshot is coming out with soon, along with his new fairing. I had planted the idea in his head quite awhile back, as I had told him that I along with a lot of other 1250 owners hated the Batman styled front fender.
The new fender is styled after a ZRX1200 front fender, and I plan on getting one of the first ones when it's available.

Re: Front guard .
To late its underway , besides i'm a big Adam West fan .Just as well this is looking more and more like Batmans mask all the time .
I think a few others might be interested though . Can you and Holeshot move to Oz so freight is a bit less .
You can see the left side (in pic ) is sanded .The right side i need to "get rid of the shinnies " those dots show lower points .
More like it
Finish Coat .

Re: Front guard .
Nice work Gus. Would like to see a shot of it on the bike please. Whats next ? The Tank. By the way Gus. Those mirrors I got with the indicators in them also come in a CF look finish, and in a screw fit for a naked bike. Dont know how far you are intending to go with this.
