PAIR Removal - Nice side effect

Hi Guys,

I thought I'd share this. I have a smashed 1250 that I have been putting back together as a track bike (I know not the tool for the job but I like to be different).

Anyway, I have been struggling with strange idling issues:

- Won't idle without a small amount of throttle while cold
- idle a little rough while warm
- runs fine under load while riding, but sharp closure of the throttle caused it to stall. Most common when moving slowly and riding the clutch then coming to a stop.

I decided I would leave it be for now and order the suzuki diagnostic system when I get a chance. So today I removed the PAIR system and fitted the metrick metal kit to block off the plates, the hose and add the load resistor. 

After removing the PAIR system all the problems are gone. It idles perfectly cold, hot and no longer stalls. I can't believe it, I can't explain why and it may be a coincidence. Either way I don't care, my trackie is almost complete and it runs beautifully now.

Best thing you can do for a Bandit track bike is fit jack up links. I did this for a track day and the bike felt great on turn in.

Mine were 35mm. Great on the track and horrible on the road

I have ordered my removal kit from Metrick Metal... Very excited for it to arrive.

Arrived
And installed
I haven't taken it for a ride yet, idle seems a lot smother.
Put it on the centre stand and rolled through the gears.
It appears smother all round.

Changed the front brakes while I was at it.
Double HH pads.
Need to to take her out before work on Monday in think.

Anyone up the central coast want to go for a spin?
