Pair removal on K1 oil boiler
Im thinking about removing the pair system on my K1. Can I just plug the tubes from the motor? Is that about it on these ones?
I looked at the holeshot kit and its just the plates.

I think that's it, although I only had the motor to work with not the other guff.
I used the ends of the tubes as templates to make my own plates, although if you cut the flanges off the tubes and welded up the centre, that would make a neat solution.

Thats a good idea but I may just buy gaskets and make some plates from that. Im in no hurry as far as I can see all it does is stop the popping out the exhaust. But it would tidy her up in the engine bay a lot.

Not sure how fussy the law is there , but if you remove the anti pollution stuff here on your model ............. , I would put the plates under the pipes & leave them on so it's not so obvious / Just saying .........

another contentious issue..i`ve read up a bit on this, from if you get it dynoed to just getting rid of unwanted shit. I`ve got mine removed to make it "more accessable under the tank'. Mine still crackels..and yes everything is properly sealed, and "no",it didn`t give me more power.

Im going to take the tank of soonish to do a few things so it looks to be a waste of space. I will be doing valve clearances so will have to take most of it off anyway.
i may be able to fit a pie warmer in that space.

I dont feel any need to remove mine. Hell ! I never get to "RedLine" , and theres more than enough power well before that. I like the little crackle also.

Well Ive done this now. And surprising result. The idle has turned to rubbish and it stutters badly pulling away. But on power it goes like hell. A lot more top end.
I wonder if it had a fault?
Got to work out weather its to rich or lean at idle now.
