SW Slopes/Upper Murray Ride Sunday 23 May

Planning a ride from Wagga to Tallangatta and return and Sunday 23 May

Meet at Harley's Cafe (Lake Albert Shopping Centre) 0830, departing 0900.
From Wagga we'll head to Tumbarumba then on to Tintaldra and Corryong. From there to Tallangatta (via Koetong) for lunch. After lunch we'll head to Albury via the Hume Wier rd then back to Wagga via Culcairn, Morven and Mangoplah.

Total distance is about 430km to 440km.

If the weather looks like crap, then we'll revise the ride on Sunday.

Well, this was a waste of time. 4 people showed up.

1 guy (newbie) on a very sick sounding GS850 decided he wouldn't go, mainly because he didn't think his bike would make it.
My wife decided (after much procastination) that she really didn't feel like going for a ride. Probably a good idea given she was getting dizzy spells.

So that left me and one other on a GPX250. We (I) decided that we'd just go up to Tumba and return. Nice pleasent 220km ride, a bit chilly but pleasent. Left Wagga just after 9am. Stopped in Tumba for petrol and coffee for about 30 minutes and got home just before 12.

Really, I post the rides here because sometimes we head in to NE Vic or towards Canberra and some guys from there may want to join.

I'm more pissed at the fact that the club I belong to has rougly 20 members and for the last few club rides we've had no more than 6 people. Even then 4 of them were in cars
