Hand guards for a GSX650F
Hi everyone
With winter coming up and wanting to do some touring, can anyone give me advise about hand guards. I have spoken to Barkbusters and they don't really recommend for my bike.
I had a look at the Oxford heated hand grips, they have the guard and the fact that they are heated is a bonus. I really didn't want to buy till I got some advise. Is there any other brands I should look at!!!

People do fit DL handguards but by the time you pay parts prices and then do whatever mods are required; my 2c says mate I would just go with the oxfords. Just do the wiring properly i.e. with relay from a switched circuit.

I did Tassy last Easter (2012) on a Beemer R1200GS, and my mate on a R1200R. I have to say that the hand protectors (Bark Busters) worked a treat for me - He didn't have any such protection on the hands. (Yeah - we are both Darwinitres - so a bit soft to "really cold weather"). Riding through a particularly cold snap - lots of snow and sleet - I had to say the protecters were brilliant. We got off at fairly regular intervals. He was freezing - I was just cold! then on the last day we worked out to put the gloves onto the nice Beemer blocks poking out each side of the bike! Talk about smart - too late!
In Darwin here, I must say that it hasn't bothered me!

I have DL1000 guards with Oxford Sports heated grips. Cold Wellington winterss are no match for them. Well worth it and they fit like factory.

I have DL1000 hand-guards on one of my bikes and I must say they are very effective, they fit like factory items too.
