What's your thoughts of the mod.

It's just I was told a couple of weeks ago, that talk of this mod was gospel & the mod itself was bike butchery. Rolling Eyes

I am very happy with the mod, couple that with the TFi box set to Dale Walkers stage two settings and the bike feels great. The throttle response is quicker the pull from the power is faster and the slow down is much smoother. Cool

Before i did this mod and had the TFi at stage 1 i felt the bike a little lumpy at slow speeds even after balancing the throttle bodies, now however it feels much smoother without any laboured effort to the engine.

For my money i like the overall effect it has had on the bike even when i don't twist the neck on the throttle is feel the bike is much happier.

@Barry i think i might scare her half to death if i take her on the back and give it some stick. Will have to behave myself Very Happy

I have stage 2 with full exhaust (BlackWidow header and slip on) and Dale’s Latest SuperTuner which took place of the older TFI. Very pleased and fueling is spot on.

Removing the secondary throttle blades gives you better throttle response compared to just adjusting the blade openings in the ECM as the servo which opens and closes the blades is slow. You can feel the difference in throttle response even though peak power could be the same if you set it to 100% open. I took the secondary throttle blades out, the secondary throttle blade rod out, the STVA (secondary throttle valve actuator) out and the STP (secondary throttle position sensor) out and used a Healtech STVA eliminator. Very pleased as the bike responds to MY throttle input speed and position.

Did you plug the shaft passages at all? Or just each end?

I used a rubber plug on far left side where the sensor was. The far right is the stock metal plug that holds the rod. Left the passages open between cyl 1 & 2 and 3 & 4. I used a reinforced rubber hose to connect cylinders 2 & 3. So all 4 cylinders vent through. This I believe helps with the idle. My idle is smooth.

Not quite getting the drift...I assume that without the shaft, all 4 TBs have a port between them now....and that you meant the rubber hose is between 2 and 3...not 3 and 4 ?
Just trying to clarify....

Correct. Rubber hose between 2 & 3 ( left and right side of throttle body as it splits apart). The hose is needed as when you remove the STVA servo ( black plastic piece that connects the left and right side of the throttle body ).
