First topic message reminder :

Anyone have a view on whether the Bandit chassis is particularly rust prone, say compared with other Japanese bikes.

What ways are there to minimise risk of rusting ie, garage, not wet washing, move inland! Smile others?

Would appreciate views on this.

Thanks GG

3 bikes lived in a shed . All 3 where looked after the same way .Sadly, the Suzuki caught a skin complaint due to lack of paint .

I micro-waved a glove dry once .It worked if you ignore the fact that it shrank the glove 3 sizes .NOT recommended .

I have found the most effective barrier against surface corrosion is lanolin. This can be easily applied from a pressure can product like Lanotec.

Wd4o dries out too quickly...many chain/chassis lubes are too heavy........Lanotec sticks like sh1t, has real light-lubricant qualities and dries to a thin, superior barrier to air and moisture sourced corrosion. Smile
