Has anyone used K&N oil filters?

Has anyone used K&N oil filters, I am thinking of using them as they have a 17mm nut on them to enable them to be tightened without the need for the suzuki oil filter tool that they are asking $52 for. Any opinions, good/bad? Thanks.

I use K&N Oil filters on all the bikes. The hex nut is good for removal, though fitting it I usually do it by hand and not with a spanner, though if you were intent on using a torque wrench, it does lend itself to that.

I use K&N filters, I like the convenience of the nut. I believe they have been reviewed on line as being a quality filter.

I bought a few from the UK, worked out at $16 each including the postage.

Yeah me too. Just bought two from solomotoparts. They are good quality, sturdy and convenient. You can buy a OEM filter remover much cheaper elsewhere BTW. Check on fleabay. I bought one for about $20 when I was in Japan last October.
