Well its time once again to plan our next big touring adventure. Me and the Missus have scored big time and won ourselves a trip to Tassie so we thought we would turn it into a road trip and take in the Motogp on the way. The current plan is to ride down to Canberra on Friday night then onto Sale on Saturday to visit her folks. Sunday morning set off very early and head to Philip Island for the race. Sunday evening we will be joining the masses heading up to Melbourne to stay with yet more family for a couple of days and then catching the ferry Tuesday night across to Tasmania. 10 days in Tasmania thanks to Accor group hotels before the long ride back to Sydney.

If anyone is planning on visiting the MotoGP and would like some company riding down there then please by all means you are welcome to join us.

Wish I could join you but we're committed to a wedding - may be possible for a catch-up though as we're not off to NSW country until the Saturday (sorry i can't put you up as we have both adult kids at home again).

We are finally moving to Tassy, will be in our new house as of 18 Oct, just north of Launceston. All forum members are more than welcome to stop in for a cuppa or longer if we get to talking about modifing Bandits.

Me and the wife will gladly call in for a cuppa. Hope the move goes smoothly and you enjoy Tassie.

The ride down from Sydney to Tassie is well under way. Due to traffic we arrived late on Friday night in Canberra (90 mins to travel 34km,s hmmmm ). Saturday the weather was looking very good and we were soon heading down the Monaro towards Sale for our next nights stop and dinner with the out laws. Sunday morning and it's over to the Island for the Motogp what a race Stoner coming back from injury totally blows everyone away and we see the championship wrapped up following a rare mistake on lap 3 from pedrosa. The ride up the Melbourne from Phillip island was amazing. So many people lining the route to watch and cheer to all the motorcyclists on our way home or in my case the third stop at my uncles house for a two day rest before our ferry trip over to Tassie and our first stop in Launceston. 9 more days in tassie to go before we make the mad dash back to Sydney and the swear word WORK.
