2/2/21, left Tura Beach and headed off.
Tura - Brown mtn - Nimmi - Cooma. Cooma was 14 felt like 8 - colder than that at cruising speed. Onto Canberra, fuel for bike and self, head towards Yass and right onto Lachlin Valley Way to Boorowa.
Then onto Cowra, beautiful country side.
460 km for the day, bum was good till about 420

Re: 2021 road trip
Fuel for both again in Parkes.
Headed towards Bogan Gate , took Middle Trundle Road and joined The Bogan Way south of Trundle. Trundle to Totenham
light flashing about 20km out-made it easy. More fuel then then 80 km to Nyngan. Passed one truck and about 3 cars since leaving Parkes, great run tacho 4.5 to 5.o k rpm all the way. Busy road,

Re: 2021 road trip
Later that arvo, a storm hit.
"Shit, my swimmers" - flew out the door - wind has blown them 3m away. Just as I grabbed them , there's a bang.
"Shit, that's my door ",
pats pockets,
" 🤬🤬🤬 no keys ".
No dramas, just walk the 50m through the hot blue gravel drive to office barefoot of course .
Sign on window says: Office closed this afternoon, please phone %%%%%%%% if you are locked out etc.
🤬🤬🤬🤬 phone is in room.
Walk back across hot gravel , knocked on a couple of doors and a guy gave them a buzz for me.
Lesson - keep key in pocket .

Re: 2021 road trip
260 klm to next fuel stop, I think my range is 300klm but I'd be nervous doing that big "A" distance.
Good ride report and scenery - wide brown land for me everytime.

Put it on the centrestand and filled up. Was flat, no steep changes in grades, and the only Twisties were at Mount Hope as per pics.

Re: 2021 road trip
Carried on from Mount Hope at cruising speed, 4.5k rpm and made it to fuel stop at Hillston. Just under 15l was used.
Wind started pick up a bit from here on the way to Griffith so did the traffic.
After Griffith heading to Wagga, it was gusty 45kmh wind and as much as seeing the wind creating red dust storms was very pretty, I wasn't stopping for pics. Tasted a bit funny too.
Arrived at Wagga and daughter said big storm right behind you, get to our place and put bike away. Just made, 60mm that night with strong winds. Left that morning and headed home via Canberra, got back dry.
Great fun ! .
Bike, clothes, boots, gloves & helmet covered in bug remains sort that out later.
Roll on next trip

Re: 2021 road trip
2150km done.
Have discovered:
LH pannier rack sticks out more than RH
I thought my arms were giving me more grief, but LH handle is pushed forward about 15mm.
Not to worry will, fix that after the bugs come off.
