Regardless of whether you upload pics from your PC to the forum or to a photo hosting account, they will become part of the public domain.
There is photo hosting available through forumotion, but the fees are excessive when you can use free hosting on Facebook, Photobucket, Picassa, etc.
Also, I might be doing some minor updates to the forum to freshen it up over the coming week, let me know what you think in this thread.

In profiles etc some contrast between the text and the background would be nice for us oldies.

Dear Cam, and Cam's Mum. What would be the chance of being able to change the page background to a darker colour with white print to make it easier for us oldies with cataracs to see clearer ? ( cut down the glare )

That would be Great. I visit another site which has a black background with white text and it is so much easier to read with my poor old eyes.

Re: Forum Improvements
You have scaling issues with the banner graphic (10inch tablet on full site)
I don't mind the new colours and the blind blokes will be happy

Yeah I'm not used to working with so many fossils
Was the scaling issue always there or just since today? I'll check it on my tablet when I get home - just screwing around with the colours in some free time at work...

Re: Forum Improvements
I quite like it
Don't know if it,s possible , but some contrast in the profile section to see what the individual headings are instead of highlighting them to see it would be nice .

I've been looking into this but at the moment it seems to be an issue with the forum software - there is no quick way for me to fix it. Will do a bit more investigation.

Thanks, still not exactly happy with how that looks at the moment but you get the idea. Trying to make it easier for people to find new content.

New content is easy.
Try the link that says "posts since previous visit" (or words to that effect)
Or the "todays active topics" link.
No need to play with colours if that's all your doing it for mate.

Re: Forum Improvements
Got a surprise this morning when I logged on...
I like the new look but haven't had much time to actually 'use' it yet... I'll be posting if there are problems or areas where I think things could be improved but for the moment "Well done!"

Re: Forum Improvements
Really liking the recent improvements.
Just one small thing, with the new improved "manly" colour scheme, I've noticed the banner looks a bit dull, flat, maybe you could tweak it a little - see below.
Feel free to ignore me.
