2012 model colours in NZ
The Bandit continues to be sold in NZ in 2012, alongside the GSX1250FA (the GSF is about $1,000 cheaper).
Some different colours on offer:
Metallic gleam grey (non ABS)
Glass sparkle black (ABS as are all the rest). I don't really like the lighter side covers
Metallic alba blue
and my favourite, Glass splash white
I wish that they'd bring out the blue and white scheme that was done in Europe briefly on the N models

Re: 2012 model colours in NZ
the Australian market really gets screwed when it comes to choice of colours. One would expect that the market size here would enable them to offer a greater range, whereas the market size back home gets many different options.
Re: 2012 model colours in NZ
Australia only gets the new Blue and a Black in both the GSF and GSX
Me neither!

Re: 2012 model colours in NZ
I did like the metallic gleam grey which was a really green grey but they were not able to get it on the FA.
The white one I saw was kitted out with matching hard cases and a top box and to me screamed motorcycle cop. Its a colour they could have got in from overseas however would have delayed the purchase. The really off putting this for me was the hours you would spend cleaning it. That would have driven me mental, mind you Kewwig would have been happy as he loves cleaning, so much so I'm surprised there's any paint left on his bike I actually think the white one is called the Pan Pacific??
The choices I had were oort grey, blue and black. I traded in my last black bandit and was not keen for another. The blue FA just did not do it for me, I've seen a few since and I think they just look plain (each to their own thought) . Oort Grey kind of reminded me of an old Nissan Skyline I once owned, fast, sexy and appealing.
I did love the 80's colours and those blue and white paint jobs still appeal to me and reminds me of my gsxr750 from 1985. I wonder if Suzuki will ever bring out any funky colours? Pink maybe

The grey frame should only be on a grey bike. It doesn't match anything or any colour combo apart from grey.
That would stop me buying if I was in the market now.

Re: 2012 model colours in NZ
Nice to see the bikini fairing hasn't changed since 2006.
Baffled as to why Suzuki gives Australia different and somewhat lame colour choices when compared to the rest of the world markets.
The heritage type blue / white colour scheme is good. +1 from me for that one but the light grey frame is a negative.
An idea as a limited edition Bandit for AU would be a blue / white bike black frame and a handling and braking package. Ohlins and 6 pot calipers on a switchable ABS system with braided lines. Retuned engine to eliminate the top end dive to the power curve and a smaller end can - c'mon Suzuki - ditch that nuclear reactor of a end can. The aftermarket zorst companies run their hands togeather whenever a manufacturer makes a bike with a crappy pipe.
And how about (while they're at it) make a full house sports tourer to mix it with the ZX-14.

I'm affraid that none of them really " do it " for me either. Where is the Red model. Red was invented for bikes.

Re: 2012 model colours in NZ
I wonder who makes the decision regarding which colour scheme goes to which country.
I expect it would be an international decision made by Suzuki Japan.
Maybe someone from this forum could make contact with Suzuki Japan by email and ask the question.
I would have thought a red and a black colour would please most people, mine is blue by the way (not as fast as red, but fast enough for me)

Like the heritage colour-way. Just add a black engine. Do you think it's a bit similar to the CB1300?
