Fork Brace for a GSX 1250 FA 2012 model
Does anyone have any experience with folk braces mounted to their bike, I'm wanting to buy one but apart from the Holeshot one in America I can't seem to find any others that are manufactured for the bike.
If you know of someone who makes them, or have one fitted to your bike I'd be interested to know a bit more about it.
Thanks in advance

I didn't fit one to the 1250 because, as I understand it, I'd have had to remove the stone deflector to fit it. No way I'd get rid of that on our roads as the smallest stone chip can lead to you having to re-chrome the forks.

Hi Cheazdad, have had a Holeshot forkbrace on my 08 1250 for near 10 years (just clicked 171,000 today). When I fitted the brace it made a big difference from first ride . I too did not like the idea of the fork guards being removed so I made my own out of S/Steel 75mm 1.6 tube . Her is a picture of how it looks.

I'm not sure why they couldn't have been manufactured with a built in fork protector or a way to reuse the old ones. I'll look into 3d printing some soon for my bike. Once only had the brace on for less than 5000kms, but I revalved and resprung the front forks at the same time. So far the whole package has made the bike more stable in the corners and under braking

If you've got material to make guards, simple enough to do. But on both my Gen1 and Gen2, I've got leg socks, made out of wetsuit material with velcro to hold them on.
You can put them on, and take them off in seconds.
I've had them on my Gen2 for about 10yrs. They've never fallen off and only slightly deteriated in that time. The socks themselves have about 130000k's on them. I put them on at about 75000k's.
Love them to death. Quick and simple.
