Ducati Diavel
What do you think of this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Cfuv63Y0ec
I like it . Different, but not too much. Stylish. And by all accounts, great to ride.
Heres another look that is better : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ks7mAa224Lo&feature=related

They're very quick but have you seen one in real life? I'm not a fan at all, they are very unusual although I expect they'll be very popular in Aus. What's the pricing like for a basic one?

Re: Ducati Diavel
bit of a handbag bike. the " look " is priority in advertising. Id go the v-rod or B-king for the wanky muscle cruiser if i was so afflicted.

A B-King is hardly a wanky muscle cruiser, it's a genuine high performance naked. The Diavel is closest to a VMAX I think, although a fair bit cheaper at under $25,000.

Re: Ducati Diavel
They look ok in the flesh but a mat black VRod would get my money.
Although I suspect they’ll be collectable in years to come I just can’t get my head around the B-King styling.

Re: Ducati Diavel
I think the Duc' would be a much better handling machine than the VMax or V Rod.

A bloke at work traded in a Fireblade and got one, very very happy with it. He got the base model in red, looks nice.

Don't fret James. There is a whole gaggle of Duc's I'd have. That one isn't on the list

Re: Ducati Diavel
I actually like the look of the Diavel. Unlike the VRod it probably won't use 4lt of oil between services and unlike the V-Max you can probably go more than 150km before running out of fuel.

Don't mind the Diavel but not in white, that just looks crap. Would I like to ride one, YES. Would I buy one, probably not.

Re: Ducati Diavel
Theres just something about the rear end when in white, the other colours look fine but not the white. If someone gave me a diavel in carbon black.. well that'd be ok

Re: Ducati Diavel
Well there's no white listed on Ducati Australia's web site so I wouldn't worry about it

Re: Ducati Diavel
Sitting having a coffee over Mt. Glorious and one came up the hill. As I watched him approach something caught my eye just forward of the rear wheel. I gave him a howler and pointed at the back wheel. He turned and came back and as he slowed to a stop there was something black, round and making sparks. When we checked it was the remote suspension hydraulic adjuster. The bracket had broken and it was hanging on by the hydraulic hose. A few large cable ties and he was on his way to the dealership to express his disappointment. The bike had just been in for its first service.
Met him a week later - the dealer asked him what he had done to break it. You can imagine his reply.
Followed him off the mountain, gee those things have some grunt out of the corners - not too shabby through them either.

Ducati have succeeded in building the second ugliest bike in history - no.1 being the R1200C.I see them every day lined up at Brisbane M/c but they're just not getting any prettier. But on the bright side I guess they've got that legendary Ducati reliability......!

Agreed. As ugly as a hat full of arseholes in my opinion. The r1200c is as ugly as two hats worth of arseholes and is proof that the French should never again be allowed to design a motorcycle.
I know a bloke through work who has one, but he's fkn tosser anyway.
It doesn't seem to do anything my naked Bandit won't do on the road except break down.

I have not seen one in the flesh yet. But going by the pis and videos I would rate it very highly as a head turner. There is just something about it.

Re: Ducati Diavel
what a crap weekend, My old neighbour got sick last week and my old school mate got cleaned up by a harley rider being to cool to use mirrors who did a u turn in front of him back in feb, both in canberra hospital thought i'd duck up saturday morning say gday whilst the family is away, rocked up to to the hospital only to find Max had just died and Neil had been transferred to Pambula Hospital. FAAARK
any that put a downer on the week end so on the way home i called into CMC and had a look at the Duc devil mmmm its definitely an acquired taste. but i sorta had bit of a soft spot for the the tiger and and the KTM 990 STM, it turns out one of the sales guys is the step brother is one of my best mates so test ride everything mmmm things are looking up. i didn't ride the devil as its not me at all but i did a s/h 2010 tiger and the KTM well the tiger was nice but was bloody gutless but super comfy and if ever i wanted to stab myself in the eye the KTM. as i thought just a big arse chooky
Yup Bandit was a good choice, but i must admit the Ducati ST3 would have been a good choice as well
