Dog bones .
I decided a streetfighter needed a raised rear end . Took dogs bone off and had one end welded up ,cost 3 Caronas .
Got the grinder out ,cleaned up and redrilled .According to my calcalations the holes need to be CLOSER together to raise rear end .
1 mm = 5mm extra height on the rear end .Redrilled 6 mm closer so that = 30 mm higher and thats how it feels .

I had a set of jacked up dog bones on my bike. They lasted a track day and a few rides to work before I took them off. Not only did it cause my link pipe to touch the swing arm but it made the front feel terrible at normal speeds. On the track it was an absolute blast as it turned in so much easier.

Re: Dog bones .
The difference was 5 - 6 mm difference. It started to feel like I was riding a stiff sports bike. If I had dropped off some rear preload then it probably would have been fixable. I'll keep them for the next track day as they were seriously bloody brilliant, I was chirping the rear tyre on corner entry and sticking with R6's through the turns

Start to play around with the geometry of the bike, and unless you know what you are doing, you are asking for trouble. Any newish bike has been drawn up on a computer. With figures that we would have no idea what they are about. Leave that sort of stuff to the experts. JMHO.
