Brisbane Bandit run?
Anyone want to meet up for a ride in Brisbane/sunny coast this week sometime? Thursday, Saturday or Sunday are good for me.
Chips, Gus, anyone who ride a Bandit? I rarely see other Bandits out there.

Re: Brisbane Bandit run?
Saturday morning ok? How about meet up at the BP the Gap and ride up Nebo and onto Glorious, continue on to the T at the bottom of MtG. You have two options from there - fernvale and back home or onto Kilcoy past the dam, back over Mt Mee back to Samford.
I'm taking it real easy - posted limits only as riders have had a habit of wiping themselves out on these mountains in the last week or so.
Any takers?

Re: Brisbane Bandit run?
Really depends on when Gus can get down here.
I like to leave the BP at about 7.30 - 8am. Allow about 5 hours for the longer route and we're done. I do like this ride - it's got everything - including cameras and laser guns.

Might take this route and enjoy the freedom from wife and children

so That was my route
Pretty good ride except for the boring motorway stretches which I wouldn't do if it had been solely a leisure ride, but I headed up to the coolum motorx track to try and catch up with some friends....
Anyways, I highly reccommend it except next time I would head up to malany for some cheese and wine :-) and then come back down the hinterland way :-)
Stopped at Mt Glorious cafe for a coffee. On the way to Mt Mee I ran into a friend on his 636cc Ninja at the fuel station. He knows the road really well so I followed him. I must say in the twisties I had no problem keeping up with him. It was funny watching his left foot kicking through gear while I just stayed in 3rd and used the bandits pure awesome touque :-) In the straights he left me for dead but thats only because he chose to do license loosing speeds.... I need my license for work and I have kids, I don't wanna die....
Anyways, he needed fuel after about 150km's so I left him behind to get fuel and continued on my own....
All in all a good ride and one I would highly recommend. Especially in summer as the mountains are nice and cool. I felt almost cold on the top of Mt Mee at 10am in the morning :-D

i also averaged 5.7 of fuel on the trip up which is great fuel economy for the semi aggressive riding I was doing....
