Stay Safe This Christmas
4 Wheels again has asked me to have another go and as you know he is bigger than me so here goes.
As I tried to explain, no one here has ever caused me to decide to take a break you all all a great group, but having lived an "interesting" life I am fully aware that I am an acquired taste.
Unfortunately as Chris knows this Christmas will be an unbearably bad one for me and most importantly my wife's family as in two hours time we will all gather at the Alfred Hospital's ICU to receive the verdict (which we already know) on the state of play with my best friend and Brother in Law, David Ditty 58 years old, who fell of a ladder on Sunday morning whilst trimming the hedge of one of his many friends.
David was rushed to the Hospital with horrific head injuries (along with many others that in the end are of no consequence)
The best of the best attended to Dave but sadly the results were as we suspected final and it looks like the crossing the Ts and dotting the Is will be done today.
My wife comes from a large family and the last one flew in from Vietnam yesterday so we will all be together to say goodbye to Dave today.
Though I have trod this track more times than I care to remember this is the first time I have seen the effect it has on a large and close family and it is heart rending and mind numbing seeing the effect it has had on his family, large group of close friends and work mates.
Sue and myself wish all of you and your family s a happy and safe Christmas and please remember the responsibility we have for all the others who we love and who love us, I am an old tough chook but I am rapidly running out of tissues.
God bless you all.
Chris and Susan Cooke.
The whole Ditty clan only a few weeks ago, Dave holding his Grandson.

Re: Stay Safe This Christmas
Christmas brings many things to us Chris. And unfortunately, tragedy, is one that effects some unfortunate families at this time of year. We see it all too often. Best wishes to you and yours, and I am sure that you will be strong at this trying time, when others need your strength to help them through. Look forward to conversing with you in happier times.

Mate, in times like this I never know what to say.
My heart go's out to all the family's and friends of you and Dave. In the sad times, remember the good times.

Thank you all, I too do not know what to say, sad as I am the grief of the children is the hardest to bear. especially at this time of year.
Please look after yourselves and have a great and Happy Christmas and don't worry about riding, just stay away from the roads of madness and make sure you come home to your family.
God Bless you all.

Please don't take this the wrong way.
What you going thru sux the big ones Chris, no doubt about it. I do feel sad that you and those near you are going thru this difficult time but I believe that out of something negative will always come something positive.
Keep your chin up and put one foot in front of the other as you move forwards and the good will outway the bad I'm sure of it.
Be safe.
