Tyre Wear Question
Would like to know which tyre other people wear out first, Front or Rear
My original Bridgestone BT21s have done 8000+ ks. The front has worn rapidly in the last 1000ks. Wear on front is angular from middle to both sides. Have read that could be caused by braking late into corners and or tyre pressures. The rear still has plenty left.
Comparisons welcome.

That's the way they pretty much all go.
My PR2'2 wore out last time at the same rate with very rapid wear towards the end.
The bandit is a front heavy bike so pressures are critical but there isn't much you can do about round abouts and braking into corners.

Re: Tyre Wear Question
I get probably 9 -10 out of the front and 6 out of the rear. The wear pattern is as you have described, kind of an arrow shape if you look down the front tyre. All my tyres, Dunlop, Michelin and Bridgestones have done it. Michelins lasted the longest but I hated them, plenty of people like them though

Re: Tyre Wear Question
After about 6000 km I found the OEM Bridgestone front to be fine but the rear was in trouble - heavily worn right down the centre due to lots of commuting. I replaced them with a set of PR2s and from previous experience I don't expect to have any problems re: 50c profiles with the michelins. I was offered PR3s by the dealer but I was a bit unsure about the new tread pattern, especially the fine water drains. Does anybody have any experience with the new PR3s?
