Test Ride next week
Had a look at the GSF1250SA Grey at Kogarah yesterday $13990 DA bike looked good, liked the colour.Remindered me very much of my old CB1300 that was one of my all time favourite bikes,But the lack of a 6th gear killed that bike for me.Action MC have them for $12990 not 100% sure if this is drive away,I think it is.
Anyway booked a test ride for the following monday see how we go.
Yeah im looking for something with a little bit more comfort than my blackbird and if the power is similar to the CB13
it should be ok.The CB13 also wanted to stand up mid corner that could become quite tiring on long trips but i never played with the suspension.I sold that bike to by the blackbird and am planning a long trip next year so thats why im looking for something comfortable like the Bandit.
Cheers

re test ride next week
the 1250 motor has bucket loads of useful power with the torque coming in just above 3 grand which is just where you need it for overtaking . I`ve never had a problem with the handling on bends either .

Hey mate. Youll love the 1250.
My old man has a CB1300...an awsome bike, id have one for sure.
I rode the CB once on the road and well in love with it. Very similar to the bandit, less groud clearence though.
after an unfortunate incident, its now a track bike. So i took it for a few sessions at EC...good on the track as well.
But if u like the Cb...the 1250 isnt much different but with more clearence and an extra gear.

Check out Procycles in Hornsby before you commit to buying.
I got quotes from Action (Parra), Suzuki Motors (Castlehill) and Procycles (Hornsby) all for new rdy to go GSF1250SA with Bikini fairing, I paid $11500 ride away from Procycles. The guys at Action Parramatta would not budge on Price and Bikebiz over the road don't sell Suzuki's new..

As adaptable as the Bandit is I reckon you'll be missing the Blackbird's ponies if you ever explored close to its limits.
The Blackbird can be turned into an upright tourer with custom bar risers. I know of at least one set up with risers of about 120mm.
If you do get a B1250 pay the extra for ABS.
My 2c worth

Give hills motorcycles a go as well. they are on Victoria road in castle hill. A great bunch of guys and very helpful. you may pay a little bit more as they are not prone to budging on price but the service is fantastic. I was in the shop today and they have all three models in the shop on the floor. they even had the new TU250 which looks fantastic as a small cafe racer very retro styling.

Thanks for that fellas,$11500 for a new B1250SA drive away thats the best ive herd. This guy at Kogarah quoted me $13990 for the same bike and he read the figure out of the price book! I thought at the time he was talking about the GSX? not to worry i'll see him Monday.Taking my bike over see what they will give me for a change over.
