Sill dont get it .

Since 2WA thinks my fan light sucks (in joke ) and i really like it ,i started to think what everybody else likes and i dont get .
What came up first was this power commander ,Tfi or in other words those "magic boxes ".After riding my bike today i dare anyone to ride it and say
"gee ,the fueling is poor and lacks power doesn't it ?"Its stock no secondaries though.
I just carnt see why anyone would think it needs one unless they have done something and made a good motor worse .
Could it be we are stuffing thing up and then using a p.c. to try and fix it up ?
I have to say the marketing is so good they almost make you think a power commander is a MUST .They certainly seem finicky and expensive to buy
and set up .
At the moment i thinking marketing better than product ,no ?????

I see what you mean Gus, mine runs fine as is with Beowulf can, secondaries removed & K&N filter apart from going a bit lean around 2500 rpm.It improved noticeably when I put the baffle back in a few weeks ago (Paranoid about the TASK FORCE!!) but I'll eventually add a fi tuner to get it perfect, especially if more mods happen. The colour of the headers screams LEAN.

What colour are your headers? Unpolished the outer skin will go a nice golden straw colour.

I'm still calling a K@N filter (alone ) lets too much air through and makes it run too lean .
My set up is the same as your Freeway and my headers ARE straw colour. Drop in next time you go to T's

If K&N filters didn't work, myself and nearly all the blokes I dirt ride with would have a shed full of very expensive stuffed engines. We have all been using them for years and some of them don't get cleaned as often as I like and they still don't have any trouble.

You will have to take mine for a ride and see what you think Gus. I havent got a TFI yet.( hoping the australian dollar gets even better) but at this stage im very happy with the way its running. With air box opened up, kand n secondaries removed and slip on , i pulled a plug on the side of the road the other day after some hard running( bloody hot but wanted to see what was happening) and the plug looked good

If its running like you want and your happy with it ,Why sp end money on a Tfi ??

I would have thought you would use a foam with oil filter ,but they are not k & n are they ?

Have used Twin Air in the past, as a spare for longer rides. They are easy to carry in a backpack and they are soft if you roll on them. But 90 percent of us use K&N on dirtbikes, sometimes with the pre-filter sometimes not. BTW I am about 80% sure I will be down that way on Saturday. I think I'm going to go look at Mt Mee.

Yes "about" 1100. I am thinking about Friday instead. Dunno for sure what day 99% it'll be one of them though.
