CBR RIDE 16 jULY 2011

Bot a bad ride today for the inaugural Canberra & regional riders. We had myself, Grover, Four40, and Warwick from Canberra and Baz from Sydney. The weather was kind and we got a few spots on the ride but nothing that could even be classed as a shower. And there was no fog and it wasn't too cold, as winter days come. Did about 320kms or so (didn't actually check the odo) visiting Bungonia Gorge and stopping for luch at the Meridian Cafe in Marulan. Didn't have too many navigational issues, luckily Four40 let us out of Bungonia to the Hume Hwy as I certainly would have screwed that up. Anyway, here are a few pics (I'll leave it to you guys to work out who is who):

Thanks for that, I always enjoy a ride report especially if it's illustrated. I recognised BAZ

If the days had been a bit longer I might have made the trip, (I did a feasibility study) maybe if you make it Sunday next time I can work it into an "overnighter".

Chris, I'm toying with the idea of a Tour de Southern Highlands early next year, so maybe we can meet you then.

Never fear 2WA - If you were keen to ride to Cann River I could organise a ride that had a group of us meeting at the Cann River Pub for lunch. Given the distance, it's a bit akin to a Farrider's ride but I'd still do it (when the weather is better, as I haven't gotten over Cooma's -7c the other weekend).

Cann river's not that far from Melbourne. I'll be in that.
