Speedo....
Hi again folks,
Just waiting for a phone call back tomorrow, after that i'll know for sure if i can get The Bike.
............just a quick question............
* How far out is the speedo? or is it not worth the worry?
Edit-- Has anyone compared the bikes speedo with a GPS reading?
Cheers,
Sole.

Re: Speedo....
Mate I tested mine with my Garmin 12XL
With stock gearing I was a constant 7% out (reading high).
Speed was checked on flat roads at 10m ASL at 60k/mh 100k/mh 120k/mh and at a speed I had better not say.
The GPS was cable tied to the bars. Garmin boast an error of +/- .1%. Close enough?

Re: Speedo....
I haven't tested mine against a GPS, but using those 'overhead' speed warnings on highways, mine appears to be about 10k out at 100/110, so if the speedo is reading 110, I'm actually doing around 100.

Re: Speedo....
I tested mine the other day with my Magellen GPS and at 118 on the speedo I'm doing 110. So I just sit on 120 on the speedo and I know I'm only 2 kmh over the speed limit. I reckon its a bit annoying because when your winding it out a bit (180 or so) your not going as fast as you think!!

Re: Speedo....
But you can sound really impressive at the pub, without lying "I was doing an indicated 200".
