Round oz calling in on Bandit owners

Had an idea after chatting with Reddog and Gus. On my round oz trip I'll keep in touch with all you guys(and girls?) on here and call in if invited. Might be a while before we get over to the east coast though. Heading north first to the Pilbara and Kimberleys. I'll post up here where I am and see if anyone wants to have a beer with me.

Funny thing, tonight me and the missus where watching the long way round when she pipes up "I think it would be fun to ride around australia perhaps we should take time of next year after the wedding and do that, what do you think?"

And here's me thinking my wife was cool for suggesting we plan our second honeymoon (for our 25th) to coincide with the Phillip Island round of WSBK's in 2013. But your missus is way cooler.....

Keep us in the loop on when you'll be where and I am sure meeting places etc can be sorted... as will a cold beer or two.

If im lucky I can plan the trip so that we take in WSBK next year too

I have to say though any missus mentioning a long trip on the bike to do anything exciting has to be cool and a keeper.....

that would explain why I've been married to the same woman for 23 years.

Well the time for the big trip is getting nearer. Tuesday was my last day of work and now I'm officially unemployed! We fly out to Bali tomorrow for my wifes 40th birthday and then in about 3 weeks time were off. Still so much to get ready. Couldv'e done without this bali trip really, but dont tell her!

Well the day has arrived. Final pack up and finish a few things and we're out of here! Things have been really hectic this last week and we've run out of time. Unfortunately that means we wont be able to catch up with you Reddog(unless we bump into you in the main street this arvo).

It's doubtful I'll run into you mate. I have been at work fixing a major Hardware fault with our HP servers, so have pulled about 10 hours straight with no breaks. Going for a kip now as I am stuffed.

Have a good trip anyhow. If I see you I see you. Hope the drive to Bunbury isn't too bad.

BTW where's the posty bike? Thats something I'd be taking with me on a long trip, with a milk crate attached to the back so you can get into town etc.

Currently in Sandstone WA.........No Bandits here me thinks!!

Its been a while since I've been on here. Been camping out a lot. We've just lobbed into Kununurra and will be staying here until the end of feb. Got a house to sit for a cuz. Just gotta get myself a job now so I can afford the next leg of our trip.

Yeah sorry mate. As far as I know my bikes still for sale at The Honda Shop in midland, I really should give them a call! Been in town for half a day and have 2 job offers already. Looks like I'm going back to panelbeating for a while.

These days it's more like panel replacement is it not?

As long as it puts money in your pocket and the workplace and people are ok you should be right mate.

My GSXR shock just arrived in the post and the wife and son have gone out for a few hours. Time to get my bike back together if it all fits up first time
