Replacement handlebar Empty Replacement handlebar

Post  Pete Sun 01 May 2011, 2:22 pm

I did a search for "bar", "handle", "handlebar", and also "Renthal" and was surprised to not find any threads (apart from Baz's on bar braces).

If there is one can someone please direct me to it?

I'd like some suggestions on what I can do with the factory bar on my GSX1250FA, as I really don't like the chrome finish. Chrome is so yester-year (and I hate having to polish it).

I quite like Renthal's "tanium" finish. Can I do this (or something similar) to the standard bar, or should I just buy a Renthal item? If so, which one, as there seems to be so many different types! scratch

Thoughts?

Pete

Buellord runs renthal flat bars. They are gold and certainly look the part. They are also a touch straighter than the stocks and will toouch the fairing at full lock. But apart from that he has nothing bad to say about them at all.

I've also replaced my bars with Renthal ones in black. Slightly lower and flatter.

Don't fret Gus I'm still here! My bars are black protaper cr mid fat bars with appropriate clamps which are a tad lower & straighter than the stock ones.Used fat bars just because I like the look of them, the same bends are available in 7/8.
