Replacement key

Hello all, looking at buying a 2012 bandit 1250sa, it only has one key, just wondering if the have a chip in them which would mean a visit to the dealer to replace ( i think ) or if no chip can i buy a blank online and have existing key cut at locksmith ?

Howdy mate. My 2010 1250S didn't have a chip. I just got a new key cut at Class Locksmiths for a few $$$s. I can't imagine a 2012 Bandit would be any different. Cheers.

Hi Palmer ..............Ewok just about has it covered ,but don't be bashful , tell us a bit about yourself  in the introduce yourself section , & who knows what may develop from there . ( we don't bite .........much )

Check the owners manual for the metal tag or the tag number written down somewhere.
