[right] Hi guys, just a quick query to see if anybody out there has a seat they want to sell, either a factory gel seat for a 1250 bandit, or a corbin or sergeant seat, iv got a gsx650f so anything is better than that uncomfortable seat

PaulD, agree with your pursuit of a replacement seat, STD is 5h1t. I bought a sargent from a fellow forum member and have not looked back, it's excellent. Sorry, I only have a stock unit now... US dollar is good, postage okay using something like USPS, good luck.

Give Kevin a call at VCM seats he was offering us 10% discount he use a gel layer in your stock seat and reshapes at the same time. He is doing mine in a week or two.

He also has posted a thread on this forum

I like the standard seat. I have had bikes that used planks of wood but the B1250 seat is a ripper for me Laughing

Laughing I think its a case of me liking to sit with the jewels against the tank. That helps me to weight the front better. I can see how people claim to slide forward if they sit back a little. It could also have something to do with where I ride and how active I am in the seat. Droning along a hwy might see me with a sore arse after 300km I dont know but thats long enough for a fuel stop for all of us except Gus Laughing

Each to our own. Happy to be a sadist. Glad you didnt call me a sodomist lol!

i must have a sensitive backside 200kms and i am fidgeting. Fuel stop to relieve the soreness and then 100kms its the same thing.

Yes sliding forward is an issue but the the seat is at a raked angle and not made from the gripiest material in the world. I just find the width of the seat and the sharp angle are the main issue.

I ride with an airhawk now and it is a god send. I can do 600 to 1000kms in a day with no real problems. However after a really long highway ride on the stock seat you might feel as if you have been got at by a sodomist affraid affraid affraid affraid affraid

I have to admit having been through your neck of the woods a few times now there a very few dull straight roads so yes you are very active in the seat. Beautiful riding country we both look forward to our next ride down. Smile Smile Smile

As in the seat or the bike itself? I didn't know the seat was adjustable

I was looking for a side saddle pic to post as a bit of a joke when I came across one titled “side saddle cowgirl”.
Excuse me while I do a bit more “research” on this activity Laughing

Just realized wheels we have different bikes Doh. The new GSX has been given a plank for a seat. Suzuki have used this as an area to save some money in production hence comments about the seat.

This will be a thing of the past soon.
