Brake Pads

Thoughts on brake pads ; stick to brand S, or to alternatives.
Definitely mention the crap ones.
Not so much for the Bandit but for the 91 G.

I recently put Ferodo Platinum Organic on my 1200, they stop the bike like they should.
I would be reluctant to run sintered since it will wear on the disks, and they already have very minimal life from new.

I wear through the Ferodos on the rear at a scary rate, I have just received EBC organics for next time to see if they last longer.
I haven't changed the fronts yet.

decided on EBC Organic front and rear, so far so good.

Well, a couple of weeks back, I replaced the disc and have now fitted the EBC organic pads, hope they last a lot longer than Ferodos, second rear pad change for the year.

My rears are still original with heaps to go.
I changed my first front set at 30K, then the after market ones just made 20K, at 66,000 I've got at least another 15,000 left on my OEM fronts and the original rears aren't 1/2 worn yet.

It do a little metal on metal, as I didn't expect the pads to wear in 2-3 months

how many kms did you get out of those?, track days ?

I changed my rear pads within 2 hours of buying the bike.
All the way home saying to myself - must not touch back brake pedal
The new pads i am trying are Ferodo FDB754P
Makes you wonder how it passed a blue slip

, hope the price of those was accounted for in the bargaining. Might pay to have a really good check of things.
A Blueslip - you could always report the person who passed it.
