Re: New project
A clutch bit , rear disc ,that should get me rego . Then I can ride it and do a proper tune up .
Hang on ,I forgot , the rear rotary suspension is bad so I have to replace that with a bitubo shock . Have my eye on a used one if all the planets align .
Also have a lighter tinted screen coming .

Re: New project
No ,the tlr and tls have a 2 part ramp system that acts like a slipper clutch . When it gets worn ,it slips on acceleration and kind of feels like its jumping out of gear .The tl experts say to weld the two parts together fixes the problem .
In 2nd and above its fine but, 1st is scary or no movement at all, then it engages and its HANG ON .
The 2 pieces welded together. I really have no idea how the 2 piece system works . (or is supposed to)

Re: New project
Looks fantastic mate, great job. Who said you can't polish a turd? You are remarkable.
They all seem to have the welded clutch centre don't they? I like the slipper clutch feel on deceleration, no nasty compression lockups if you F*%k up. Im sure Stu will help you out there. Let me know if you ever find a Bitobu for an "S". As you know theres a constant supply for the "R" and if one comes up for an "S" its gone in 60 seconds.

Re: New project
Bloody hell Gus. If you find one like that for a reasonable price for the Bandit sing out. The Ohlins basic shock is starting to get pretty pricey.

Re: New project
Hey Gus, bitubo is a quality product but if the shock is set up anything like there fork cartridges the compression damping could be very firm, not to everyones liking, but can be revalved obviously.
