Big Arse Givi Panniers for sale
When i bought the GSX it came with 2 Monolock Big arse panniers but i don't think i will ever need to carry that much stuff on a long ride. 37 liter topbox and tank bag should keep me happy. plus they are taking far to much space in my Cupboard,
They are the Givi Monolock E41 Pannier Set with Mounting Brackets will suit 2008 to 2010 GSF1250 and GSX1250 2011 onwards
there is a little Damage the previous owner tried to squeeze into a area that she didnt fit hence the scratch
Full Mounting Kit is included
i have never used them and the people who i bought the bike used them about 4 times, i just find them two big bulky for my riding style, I would entertain a swap for a smaller set of givi monolock panniers or $500 plus postage ( also all bolts, screws and blinker bracket is included and two keys plus combinations supplied on delivery) eh Hammy

I've got the same panniers, love 'em, luckily my ride into the shed forgetting they were there left a much smaller mark than that. They are great quality, love the flap with combination lock for quick access to smaller items, for anyone looking for touring luggage, they are aewsome, my daughter actually prefers sitting on the bike when they are there as well.
Re: Big Arse Givi Panniers for sale
I like the look of the panniers BUT I don't have the 1250...
any idea which rack / mounts I'd need?

Re: Big Arse Givi Panniers for sale
looking at the model and considering that frame and body work are the same in a 2007 1250 as a 2006 1200 and the part no.from givi is the same for both models i would say it will just bolt straight up no other fit kit required

Hmmm so just to clarify, the panniers come with rack mounts and pannier frames, and theoretically the ones that you have "should" fit my bike....
I guess there is only one way to find out....
however it is christmas / kiddie stuff and I have to wait a couple of weeks.... (I got excited seeing the bags as I need something asap)
I'm in Canberra but reckon I'd be happy to swing past and have a look (with the cash when I have it).
If you sell them before that, cool, otherwise let me know and I'll come down... when is a good date for you?

Re: Big Arse Givi Panniers for sale
I've bought a few bits for the "07" onward for my "06" & all bits go straight on, so you shouldn't have any probs Stu.
The "06" has the same frame & bodywork as the "07" on. It's only the motor & box that are different

Re: Big Arse Givi Panniers for sale
I finally managed to pick these up from Jim today.
Mr Coleman is a gentleman of the highest order, so he fit the racks on my bike for me "while I waited".... (I was busy being so hot right now). Six days of 36-39 in canberra in a row
There wasn't much swearing at all, cos they fit perfectly ahem
I am running a puny little muffler, so there was plenty of room between the pannier and exhaust, but the gentleman still stuck a nice heat shield on the pannier in question. Held up just fine on the trip home, good peace of mind.
Although the large bags don't suit Jim's riding style, I'm old and grey and sedate. As I noticed that despite being wide-ish, they are still a very decent height above sea level, so I rode home my normal way, eg as fast as I can (which isn't really that quick cos I'm no good at riding)... upshot is that I can still corner as quick n tight as I like cos the bags are fine with that. NO filtering though, so will have to be strategic where I use them cos I LIKE filtering.
Anyway on the trip home, I noticed that they make the exhaust acoustics different.... Ahhhh, no biggy. Maybe it was the different brand of earplugs that Jim gave me...
By the way, you've got some nice people in Merimbula.... I went to the Caltex.... it was very busy but I noticed that there was one pump left in front of a 4WD, so I rode around that and tucked the bike in near the pump. As I got off and removed my helmet and gloves, the man whose car it was came out and TOLD ME to move my bike. Hmmm. There was nobody at anywhere behind him, so I suggested that he reverse out. NO, he couldn't do that and I'm an unpleasant person so started to fill my bike (I can guarantee that he wouldn't have spoken to me like that if I was in a car or truck....). So the person in question had to drive around me, leaving about 2mm of room.... HELLO... Another person filling their car next to me (other side of Captain Dickwad) said oh dear there was more than a metre on his side... What is with some people?
Did have a great chocolate milkshake in Bemboka before enjoying the ride back up the hill.
And then got soaked leaving Nimitabel in a big hail / electrical storm. THANK GOD.
And then Canberra is HOT still.
Until next week blugh.
Thanks Jim.

Re: Big Arse Givi Panniers for sale
Stu it was a pleasure, i am glad you can now fit two trollys of groceries on the back and the cash went to some nice Dainese body armour and some R&G Crash bars
but remember these three things Stu
1. Best check to make sure i tightened everything up ( pretty sure i did )
2. Free things are not always the best things
3. A bug free visor was only guaranteed to the end of my drive way
Regards Jim

Darn, I even had the smaller Givi panniers that I could have swapped. The racks are exact same on Suzy.
