Hello from Canada!
First topic message reminder :
Hi All,
I stumbled across your fantastic forum here by searching "Suzuki Gel Seat". I guess you are a comfy bunch!
I am so happy to have found an active Bandit forum. I look forward to some good advice, good humour, and good ride reports. I have been going through some of the Ride Reports....WOW!! Absolutely beautiful. You are very fortunate to have such a gorgeous backyard!
About me;
I live just north of the city of Toronto in Ontario. Back in the late 60`s my parents had the choice of Australia or Canada when immigrating and I guess you just didn`t have enough snow. $#%&!!!!
The bikes;
2006 GSF1200s / 2008 1250SEA/GT / 1979 Kawi kz400h
I haven't a clue on how to post any pics! I am guessing that I need permission.
The rides;
Our season is just about to begin! Heavy snow falls late in the season has kept the bikes under wraps.
I plan on doing several weekend rides into the northern States (Vermont/NY/Pennsylvania) and a 2 week trip to Colorado to ride through the mountains and the Million Dollar Highway (google it!) is planned for the end of May. (2500km away! 8 riders,2 trucks with trailers)
Hopefully I either have permission or figure out how to post pics by then!
I look forward to sharing some stories and a few laughs while learning who the inmates are.
Ride safe,
Dave

Are yo going to ditch that ugly big heavy air restricting piece of crap that they call a muffler ? If so, check out the range of " Delkevic " cans for the 1250. You will find them on ebay.
I already have a Leo Vince EVO II carbon to go on her and a gel seat is sitting in a box in my living room, it is just too bloody cold to go out and install them.
.
Bring the bike inside then :-)

Welcome T-Leaf
They reckon the snow is romantic, but you can have it. Give me the heat anytime, although winter returned with a vengeance in Melbourne last night.
GP Qualifyings washed out. Bloody cold also, But you would probably be in shorts & T-Shirt. (12 Degrees Celsius overnight)
Enjoy your upcoming riding season.

Re: Hello from Canada!
12 degrees!! I can't wait...we are currently at -16 degrees(tonight) with highs still below zero. This is unusual, to be this cold this late into March.
Last few days of March look like will be when the bikes come out of hibernation.
I am looking forward to it but it is also a dangerous time as we have nothing of a motorcycle friendly culture here and the fact drivers have not seen a bike in months make it even worse. Plus the roads have had salt and sand dumped all over them throughout the winter. The build up outside the tire tracks is incredible. The street sweepers with clean up the side streets and a few heavy rainfalls are needed to make it even ridable.
I hope I am making you feel better about suffering through those cold days there! LOL
@Gus...That bike is absolutely gorgeous! The naked bike is a lost art here. (We couldn't even buy a Bandit N)

Welcome from the Mainland of New Zealand. The West Islanders (commonly called Aussies) are slowly being invaded by us. Dunno if you see Top Gear in Canada, but this is a for once accurate statement by Jeremy Clarkson: http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/jeremy-clarkson-praises-nz-holy-land-fit-son-god-5370803

Thanks. Chicago is a great place too. Off there in August for a couple of weeks.
