Luggage help.. Top Box and Ventura combinations?

Hey guys I have had a Topbox on for awhile and never liked the way it bounced around so much.. I think it is too big for the rack I bought, and just not the right combination. The rack is sturdy enough but saw a Ventura deal and bought the touring rack and what i thought was a Aero Spada Bag, and i was going to experiment with a bad instead of top box.. anyway the guy who sold it to me either deliberately or inadvertantly ripped me off as it was a Suzuka Bag instead.. I am not keen on the bag even though it seems well made I like something a little more 'erect and firm' if you know what I mean. Now the deal was good enough that I will keep the rack and the L brackets. My cofusion is . I really like my topbox so was thinking of getting the sports rack and fit that to the ventura rack with my topbox on, but I would really like to be able to have a bag as well but with the touring rack on,if I try to fit the top box the lid wont open properly. Or I have to fit the base plate so far back it looks stupid..
So... should I get a decent bag the go with the touring rack and get rid of the topbox.. or buy the sports rack and fit the topbox and just get a seatbag or throwovers??
I am not planning on touring the world but would like to stow enough stuff for a week away. I also like the security of the box. Does anyonbe know of a topbox mount that goes into the ventura rig? either way I am going to have some stuff to sell soon.. so stay tuned

The sports rack still has a rail on it so I don't see how your going to fit a top box to it

On the sports rack cut the rail off level with the rack. Buy some black plugs from Bunnings to plug the tubing from where you cut the rack off.

With the rail removed you have more choices where top mount the top box.

Thats exactly what I had planned, if its not on the way will leave the rail on, the topbox lid should clear. @gus.. I might go on your ride sunday.. could you bring the rack or would it be a hassle?

Just watch your rear sub frame up near the tail light. Thye can break over time with a heavy load.
