The stock D218's are fine if you know how to ride and if you dont know how to ride any tyre will get you into trouble.
Ride the shit out of them I say.
I wish 5 minute experts on here would stop ......................... oh f@ck it I'll get into trouble again

You didn't actually say how many k's it has done. But unless its next to none, you'll be changing the stock tyres pretty soon anyway - they done have longevity of wear on the Bandit. Mine did just over 7,000 but some more aggressive riders have had to replace them at half that. I didn't actually have any issues with grip - they just wear out very quickly.

If he is old that's an accident waiting to happen. They're not exactly a sit back & cruise bike. You have to be an active rider on those things. There is room in my shed for one.
EDIT: Compared to the Bandit I mean.

I must have been having a nanna nap the day that particular piece of wisdom was decreed.

Maybe
I meant if he felt he was "to old" to ride the Bandit and thought a cruiser would be the way to go the M109 is not a good choice compared to most others. Its a "sports cruiser" and doesnt pretend to be anything else. It's baby brother is a different story however.
Apparently he just got sick of the Bandit so that puts a different slant on it.

Well, that seems to be his problem, spent too much time looking at it instead of riding it.

Couple of things. My stock dunlop is currently at 6800k's and have been and told 60% worn? Also I have read somewhere that suzuki will no longer do the semi faired bandit and only supply the naked and the gsx1250fa.

we all know what the opposite sex looks like (or for those inclined, the same sex) and we all still look.
another thing for me is that pix are easier than reading.
