Key cutting for 2015 GSX1250FA

Hi
Does the GSX1250FA key come with a number that you can give to a Locksmith so they can reproduce a spare?

It was that way back many a year ago.

My issue is I have the original key and it must be a bit worn as it is a real bugger to unlock/lock...start with it.
But my unused spare that came with the bike new works every time.

So the lock barrel is OK just the original key must be worn.

I want a locksmith to reproduce the key so do they come with a key number?

I bought a cheap blank off eBay ($5), and took that and my spare key to a locksmith and got a new one cut. no problem

Yes it comes with a number and with any luck the original owner might have written it in the space in the owner’s manual.

Do these numbers look correct?


Dealer wrote it in my manual and I wasn't sure if it was just a number they used in house or a Suzuki number.

Looks about right.
Locksmith can check if number is for bike, then compare what the number looks like to your good spare key .

Hmm, you might want to blurr your key number in that photo RD, it's sorta like showing your credit card.
