On the way to Tasmania November 2021 - CANCELLED

Davo1063 and I will be arriving in Ararat on 6 November and spending 2 nights there in a AirBnB

7 November, Grampians, probably about 4-450km day ride

Then 8 November riding the scenic route into Melbourne to catch the ferry

If anyone wants to ride with us either or both days you're most welcome


Cancelled due to Covid, If we stay in Vic, we cant go to Tasmania

most likely just the 2 hour tour but would be open to the 4 hour tour if that's what others wanted, they oly run Friday and Saturday so it would have to be the Saturday 6 November, the day we arrive in Ararat

This is doubtful at best

The trip to Tassie could happen but would most likely not be able to return to SA (unless we go from 50% double Vax to 80% in the next few weeks)

Most likely 2 options, 

1) put the ferry tickets on hold, fly over and do a car trip using the booked accommodation, do all of the sight seeing stuff now and head back over to just ride the good roads next year
2) cancel everything and rebook next year

Covid can fkuc right off now. I’m sick of playing 
I have 4 weeks off. Mid oct to mid Nov and it looks like I’ll be doing something within Vic but probably just day trips  
That’s not the QLD trip to see the grandkids I should have been doing

I agree mate, I'm so over it.
Sick of sitting around at home trying to find things to do
Sick of not being able to ride (that is a real ride, not just to the shops and back)
Tired of not being able to walk into a shop such as bunnings and browse for the things i need.

Thing is i'm not sure being 80% vaccinated is going to get us anywhere. Countries around the world have been there done that and failed.

accommodation was cancelled on Sunday, subject to SA staying covid free, we'll be flyng to Tasmania and hiring a car, doing all of the tourist/sight seeing things and heading back to just RIDE once the 
borders are open

Bugger, I was looking forward to the Vic part of your trip.
We've now got a plan for a 3 day ride around north central Victoria 25 - 27 of November. As long as our beloved grand master sticks to his roadmap
