Fairing removal GSX650F
Here is a bit of a "how to" for completely removing the fairing on a GSX650F. I'd presume the GSX1250FA is similar if not the same but can't be sure. Feel free to chip in if you can confirm.
First off I took the side fairings off.
Repeat the above steps on both sides
Right hand side of bike down low
Left hand side of the bike down low
Don't forget to unclip the indicator connectors
Then I took the front fairing off. To do this take the gauge cluster out (Haven't got pics, I'll try to update later).
Once you have the gauges out, slide the wiring for the gauges out of the fairing frame (you'll have to remove one cable tie - no need to cut it as it is a reusable one). Look for and disconnect this connection as well
and slide all the wiring out of the framework so it hangs below everything and is out of the way
Looking from the left of the bike and just in front of the forks, find these two bolts (white spot on them) and undo them. The whole front fairing can now be taken off the bike, there is no need to remove or undo anything else. WARNING - hold onto the front fairing so it doesn't fall on the ground
Once it's all off the bike will look like this

Re: Fairing removal GSX650F
The 1250fa has a two push pins that attach additional cowling around the radiator, simply push them in and lift the fairing out to disenage. There are 3 sets of push pins on both sides, but the extra cowling is attached to the fairing and can be left in situ when removing the main fairing.
On the right hand side, the fair bolts are located slightly different to the 650, as the 1250 does not have the longer finger of faring under the headers. The nose piece/headlight assembly is the same also, a right pain in the arse to get off.
Removing the tail piece is the same, with push pins to disengange after removing the 2 small fairing that cover the fuse box(LHS) and rear brake reservoir(RHS).
