Thanks Dave ...............Yep , the birthdays seem to be getting closer together , and unfortunately the body is starting to resemble santa's as well 

Actually, I was over your way a little while ago.
Came over with some mates from Victoria in an EH Holden to "check out the night life"
I remember driving down Rundle St and going to a disco.
Maybe it wasn't a "little while ago" but I still remember.

Life was so much simpler back them.
If you did the wrong thing you got a flogging from the local copper.
No hard feelings 'cos you probably deserved it.

It's probably not PC to use the term "copper"

Most of Rundle street is now a Mall , except for the top end where I think the disco was you can still drive on................Most suburbs back then had a local Police station & yes , they would give you a good butt kicking if you deserved it  (and if you were really " naughty " they would bring out the riot squad )  , now they are all combined into a few large stations.

I'm gonna join a boot camp with my daughter to slow down the Santa look. I tried for about 6 months, never lost weight, (but I did lose about $200) but my level of fitness improved so it was worth it  . . . almost.

Keeping fit as we age , is something we all should try for , it's hard to get fitness back once it is lost .
