SV1000 wheels fit Bandit 1200 2004?
Hi,
Despite the internet, which invariably throws up totally opposite views, Im still not totally sure if these wheels will fit. I have a warped rear disc and a mate of mine who usually buys old GS Beemers has an SV 1000 with a cracked frame so I asked about the rear disc , then the wheels as I fancy spraying them MotoGP Suzuki yellow.
If anyone has any info to the contrary as to fitting I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Ali. (Medway77)

G'day,
Probably the wrong section to be asking this question.
Should have gone to mechanical.
So. ...how did you warp it?
You'd be better just swapping the disc if it fits, and it may very well do so.
There's allot compatible with the bandit 1200's.
Take the SV disc off, and match it beside yours.
99-07 busa rear discs are the same, along with RF 900's.
I've got a feeling the SV is the same, along with the TL 1000.
I've just recently bought a busa rear, cause it was cheap from the US. I'm always on the lookout for OEM discs, that are cheap. Apart from maybe Brembo, they are far superior to other after market discs on the market.
Some are close, but I'll take OEM any day, for.."THE RIGHT PRICE"
The busa landed from the US, was $47, in almost new condition. They're about $250 new.

I doubt there would be much in common with an SV. Even if the bolt pattern is the same you'll need to be careful with the offset. Worth a try though.

HI, Thanks for the response.
When I bought the GSF I noticed after a proper ride a pulsing when putting the rear brake on. I figured a warp. The SV rear disc appears the same part from having 5 slots in the disc rather than the Bandits 3. So I was going to get the rear disc off the SV but then thought how cool would the B be with Yellow wheels and having a spare set .My old GSX-R SRAD had yellow wheels and I think the MT09/10 looks great with Yellow wheels. Damn you Mr Rossi and my yellow obsession!
I also figured that getting the front discs thrown in for $350 (Front/Rear) was a good mates rate.
Anyway I'm picking up the wheels on Sunday before going down to the Sydney show. I'll let you know how things go.
Cheers,

Nothing from an SV fits!
Sorry for the late response but I thought I would wrap it up by saying nothing from the SV fits. Offset is wrong for the discs and despite not fitting, the wheels and given the Bandit's "budget" nature the SV 1000 wheel finish and design is horrible. The Bandit's quality is much better. I am still looking to improve the lights but did not see or I missed any posts regarding lights.
Cheers Ali.

Hi Gus,
Thanks for the offer. I'm tempted, how much do you want for the rear wheel?
I did in the end buy a rear disk from a mob up in Queensland whose name escapes right now. It was as cheap as the Ebayers. I just had problems with the original disk bolts. They were cooked in. I took it to a friendly garage next door to where I work and they loosened them off. Anyway all back together and running nice.
My plans for the B are currently being wrecked by my riding mates who have all gone to the dark side, I mean Adventure bikes. I plan to get a DR650, so my plans to bling out the B may take a backseat.
Cheers,
Ali.
