Two Heads

Looks like I need to grow another head after completely blowing the budget on some land in Tasmania (Cygnet ).
Cheap USEABLE land seems to have been all sold unfortunately .House sold in Qld while in Tasi . so unless it falls though we will be living in a container .
Nothing like a change though ,anyone want to go fishing at Ables Bay Tasmania ?

Better buy some woolly sox  , might get a tad nippy that far south of where you are used to

Gus, Im sure with your expertise you could pull all your bikes apart and build some sort of dwelling and some furniture from the seats, problem solved ?

Seriously, Tassie is a lot bigger than most people realise, takes a fair bit of time to travel round, so don't try to see everything in one hit, you will certainly enjoy the trip.

The Missus wants to hire one of those campers and drive around. Not confirmed yet, at least it sounds like it'll be easy to find you

Not with the prices of boat alcohol and remember you get turfed off the boat real early into the hands off a possible booze bus .
We drank $60 worth of beer while still tied up to the DOCK . Glad we stopped .

We lived in Tasmania for 7 years, 2 in Launceston and 5 in Hobart from 1972.

I understand that little has changed.

The Huon region is absolutely beautiful and I applaud your decision to move there.

It will be a little cold and damp compared to what you have experienced in Kenilworth but very enjoyable.

Consider building a house from shipping containers. They are very economical and your house is expandable with the addition of more containers.

I showed a mate that grew up in Tassy (Devenport) this thread, he pissed himself laughing, said the topic title is perfect and went on to mention where you live was given 2 Head status by the locals before any mainlanders thought of it, he said you are in REAL 2 head country down there  

OK two heads - hope hats are half the price to keep the cost of living down. How about some photos of the new ranch Gus?

Trying to buy land in Cygnet at a cheap price ended years ago . Your lucky to find anything for sale .We got told our block was the last in that area available .

Have to say though , never met a bunch of happier people in my life ;
They don't have much but are contented with that .

Sadly I have to agree . It never used to be like that on the main land . How on earth do you get it back ?
My bikes are parked next door . He has a big 3 bay garage , he said " I don't need all that space , you can use a bay for you bikes ,here's a key " .
At Sydney prices his house as a 3 million dollar view and a 2 million dollar house with7 acres . 
Its going on sale soon for $800,000 .Anyone cashed up wanting a big house ,with ocean and snow peaked mountains views.
Maybe if all mainlander visit Tasi the might go home with a better attitude .I know we always did .
