The pigeon english in the ad is enough to put me off.............
Re: Arrow Exhaust Collectors Kit Suzuki GSF 650 1250 Bandit
Is this the collectors only?, or does this include the mid-pipe?.
I looked at the Holeshot exhaust, but as it is one piece, the freight makes it very expensive.
Cheers Peter

I think those Arrow headers are about $800 delivered from the Australian distributor. I'd pay the extra for the security of dealing with a local distributor.

Yeah I think you might be right. Here is a link if anyone wants to see what they look like.
http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/forum/f61/gsf-1250-bandit-arrow-header-install-24k-service-106823/#post1897203
They're only headers that remove the cat and don't include the link pipe.
I also found them for sale on this site: Red Racing Parts: Arrow Racing Collectors
The price works out to be $720 delivered according to their site?

Gday all.. finally got on this site. The arrows headers were $826 to the door. Exhaust noise is up a little, but they are really well engineered. The weight difference from the factory headers is unbelievable. 15Kg versus 4Kg if I remember correctly.
I haven't re-dyno'd the bike yet but will post figures when that happens.

Heads up
Just to copy and paste what I posted over on the Akrapovic thread...
"Just a heads up that these systems are not homologated for road use.
Get caught with one fitted and (from what I understand) you are looking at a $1500 + fine in NSW. $10,000 in Victoria from what I've heard (for those who make the annual trek to Phillip Island each year).
It's got nothing to do with noise, it's entirely to do with the fact that you are removing emissions equipment (i.e. the catalyser).
Not worth it IMO - just go the slip on".
Admittedly I've not heard of anyone being done, but no one wants to be the first - Especially not South of the border!

Re: Arrow Exhaust Collectors Kit Suzuki GSF 650 1250 Bandit
Well the Arrow headers I bought from Italy are on! I have had the chance to have a couple of rides plus a track day last Sunday. I seem to have picked up power in the 5K + rpm area but I don’t think that I will get the full benefit of them until I get the secondaries out. Overall, I reckon that the quality is quite good and they have not made the bike obnoxiously loud, though it does have a meaty growl at idle.
A couple of observations, firstly that the Arrows differs from the Akrapovic and Holeshot headers (also 4 – 2 – 1) in that 1 & 4 and 2 & 3 are collected together, where the others collect 1 & 2 and 3 & 4, however, looking at the dyno charts they appear to work about the same, (Note. Holeshot only provides a chart with the headers on top of stage 2).
http://www.akrapovic.com/motorcycle-exhaust/products/suzuki/model/bandit-gsf-1250-2007/racing-85/
See Dyno Charts at www.holeshot.com
One interesting feature is the dip @ 8400 rpm, which appears on all B1250 charts except for the Holeshot stage 2 with headers chart, where it comes it @ 8K and is a lot less pronounced, seems that this is mainly a function of the removal of the secondaries.
Second observation is that it’s a pretty sophisticated system. All of the tubes appear to have a reverse taper, and this is very obvious in the first 20cm, as per the photo.
Installation is pretty straightforward, but if you are due for a coolant change anyway I would suggest that removing the radiator while not essential, would make it easier. Apart from that;
1. Use new exhaust gaskets,
2. The flanges for the spigots go with the clearance groove out, if you put them the wrong way around they won’t seal the spigots to the gaskets,
3. The flanges have the holes for the springs on the upper side on the outboard cylinders (1 & 4) and on the lower side on the inboard cylinders (2 & 3),
4. Get a 8mm speed nut, for the lower mounting tab. It's nearly impossible to use the nyloc nut supplied as there is no clearance,
5. A little high temp red Silastic, (stress little), will help the seal of the headers to the collectors etc. (but not up at the flanges as it will be too hot).

I'm at the same spot. The throttle bodies need a sync and the secondaries are soon to be removed. Next is to lose some weight

Just had a set of Arrows delivered, ordered them Friday evening from the EM Lineamoto Itialian eBay seller, they were delivered this morning (Monday) at 10am. I did pay for the $60 express postage as opposed to the $30 normal, but it wasn't too much for frieght I thought. All up price was US$649 delivered. Genuine Arrow, all in proper packaging, instruction sheets (english translation is not too bad), springs and flanges. The shipping box was surpringly small, 630mm x 280mm x 150mm which contributed to the low freight cost.
Got a new set of gaskets locally, didn't want to use the old ones and find out when it is all back together there was a leak, all for the sake of $40. Will try installing them over the next day or so, hopefully it will be pretty straight forward - might do an oil change whilst I have good access to the filter with the headers and lower fairing off.
Re: Arrow Exhaust Collectors Kit Suzuki GSF 650 1250 Bandit
I didn't think there was anything in the box when I got mine, Very lite.
Re: Arrow Exhaust Collectors Kit Suzuki GSF 650 1250 Bandit
Same here, was trying to work out what the parcel was due to it's small size.
Thanks to the web Italian/English translator I now know that "Iva" stands for VAT - looking over the invoice it was good to see there was none charged on this sale.

Re: Arrow Exhaust Collectors Kit Suzuki GSF 650 1250 Bandit
It's like a meccano set and is smaller than a shoe box when apart.
You'll love it the first time you fire it up, it livens the Bandit up for sure. Run it without and end can for a bit for a laugh

I look at the $152 difference in buying the Italian eBay unit as my contribution in helping the european debt crissis so our dollar doesn't get dragged down any more, or in other words:

I'm a little confussed with the Arrow flanges and bushings, does the larger diameter opening of the flange face the block or the header pipe ?
Re: Arrow Exhaust Collectors Kit Suzuki GSF 650 1250 Bandit
Worked it out - larger hole goes towards the header pipes, should leave about 2 - 3mm gap between the block and back of the flange.
Re: Arrow Exhaust Collectors Kit Suzuki GSF 650 1250 Bandit
How'd ya go with the springs? My instructions had the 1 & 4 flanges wrong (A big stretch for the springs). Does the 1 & 4 springs look the same length as 2 & 3?
Re: Arrow Exhaust Collectors Kit Suzuki GSF 650 1250 Bandit
Springs are being tackled tomorrow, just borrowed some better pullers from Peter. They should line up so they are parallel with the header pipes. 1 & 4 should run on the lower part of the pipe, 2 & 3 on the upper section. Might take some close up photo's as I couldn't find any that showed how the flanges line up, nor a clear shot on how the springs should look.
I also snapped off the O2 Sensor trying to unbolt it from the old exhaust, lucky I am using a PC-V with the Autotune unit, it comes with a new wide band O2 sensor - just have to run a new loom down to it without the wires fouling with the exhaust, chain, linkages and not look like a shag on a rock.
And for good measure I'm going to tackle the secondaries - it's going to be a fun day
