Bandit project
First topic message reminder :
The idea is to leave 2 bikes in Tasmania and fly down whenever time allows . This saves 2 weeks in travel alone and probably $2000 per trip.
Carol chose anEr5 cost $2000.
I spotted this near home and got it for $800 .
So project Bandit 600 starts .
2 hour later .Carbs on on the bench , impact driver used once .

Hi All
I'm back.
Yes Gus, it's the government's way of trying to save money. Delay and take forever and hope the person gives up and doesn't claim.
It is bullshit.

Re: Bandit project
The standard gearing on the 600 is 15- 47 . I found it extremely under geared .It felt like I was in 3rd before I left the driveway . In a 20kl ride I looked for more gears ( it has 6) every time . I found the amount of revs(not looking at the tacho ) that I would expect to be doing 110kph ,the bike was actually doing 85kph ,
I thought one more tooth on the front might not be enough (they didn't have one anyway ) so went up to 17 tooth .
I had to remove one peg on the cover to get it to fit . What a difference ,bike is now rideable without being exhausting .And only $24.
