Just bought my 1st Bandit 1200-S
G'day,
Just purchased a 2006 Bandit 1200-S after selling my 2007 R1200RT and am really happy with my decision. Just need to make a few mods to it such as heated grips, rad-guard and maybe change the exhaust. Bought it in SA and rode it back 1500k's to Sydney and loved every minute of it. Wife loves it to so that's the added bonus.

Welcome Scottie, good to have another red 1200 on-board, it's 10 yrs younger than mine, I saw one like yours at Fraser's Broadmeadow, would like it, but just can't justify the outlay at the moment.

Re: Just bought my 1st Bandit 1200-S
Hi Peter,
I was originally looking for a GSX1400 preferably in silver. I have a silver 2006 Hyosung GT650-S which my wife bought me for a wedding present in 07 and I love riding it and like the sound of the V-Twin. I can't bring myself to sell it but it's on Bikesales at the moment for $5k and every time I get an enquiry I tell them I don't have the time to show them. I still ride it every week and then on alternate days I take out the Bandit. I also share a 02 Ducati Monster with my brother in-law but I find it uncomfortable after a while. The Bandit is definitely the pick in terms on comfort and power. I like the Bandit because it gives me everything my 07 BMW R1200RT gave me but the purchase cost, service cost and money left in my pocket after selling it makes all the difference. I only paid $5500 for my Bandit.
Let me know when you’re down around Stanwell Tops way and we can take a trip somewhere...
Thanks,
Scottie...

Welcome to the site mate. Mick will be pleased there is another paleontologist on board.
Actually, do we have stats on model and colour of all members bikes. Not that it matters , just wondering.
Anyway, again, welcome.
