GSX1250FA Gasket picture?
Hi
Does anyone have a magneto gasket that they could do a 1:1 scan of?
Part 16 in the pic.
I need to find out some mounting hole spacing to make up a guard.
Thanks
Richard

Would Permatex from Supercheap be easier and cheaper?

Hi
Yes I did that on the other side and to be honest it was painful to get the spacing just right.
So I though I might make this one easier on myself.
Basically I am a lazy sod.
Thanks

Hi
Need the gasket for getting hole position not to use as an actual gasket.
Thanks

Hi
This is what I made for the RH side.
It is a bit bulky but this isn't a fashion show and it will do the job.
Thanks
Richard

It's a flat mating surface on the cover, why not take it off and do the ball pein hammer trick ? If it's only to get the shape use paper instead of gasket material, you can just rub your grubby fingers over the paper to get the edges and bolt holes....

No offence but if that did have a fall there is every chance that you will break the bolts in the aluminium holes, probably damaging the casing.
Have you thought of R+G crash knobs? they will also protect your fairings. Pricey but I can vouch for them working.

Yes when I fitted it tonight I wasn't happy that it stuck out so far...more leverage on the bolts.
It was meant to be my homemade version of these....
I actual have a set of the R+G crash knobs but have not fitted them yet.
Thinking that I might redesign the guards to mount off those two engine mounting bolts.
Luck for me I program a Laser cutter and a Water-jet cutter at work so it is just my time that
I have to use.
Thanks

Hi
Made my MK2 Crash Knobs and fitted today.
RH SIDE
LH Side
I think the RH side could do with moving inboard a bit but overall I am happy.
Can someone flip these photos for me as I am buggered if I can do it.
Thanks
Richard

That looks awesome. Way better than the R&G set imo. I'd buy a set if we didn't live on opposite ends of the planet!
