Wanted 1250 bandit exhaust
Just wondering if anyone has an exhaust for a 1250 bandit?

I assume you are after original ? I've got a set of 2007 OEM headers and an older style REMUS can I've been holding on for I don't know why, but the cost of shipping them from Tassie would not be worth it. There's a fair few of us on here that have changed to Arrows and Delkevic and different mufflers so you should not have any issues getting something, good luck.

If you were in WA you could have mine. It's just gathering dust

Re: Wanted 1250 bandit exhaust
Some time ago (earlier this year or late last year), the Bega Valley cops decided to put unroadworthy notices on bikes with after-market cans, forcing the unfortunate owner to have to put the original back on, and clear the defect notice. So although it is gathering dust in the shed like many others, I'm inclined to keep it in case the Mr Plod gets bolshie with us again.
Also, someone had recent experience when trading up that the dealer preferred the bike in as stock a condition as possible. Seems pretty bizarre but there you go.
PS: there was a 1250 can on eBay the other day (might still be there) for $50 negotiable.

I know it's no help, but my complete system ended up in the metal skip at the rubbish dump. That's about what they are worth.

Re: Wanted 1250 bandit exhaust
If the cops get all pedantic like that I'll just swap over to the dirt bike for a while. Who is to know what the stock exhaust looks like? As long as the exhaust meets the noise limits etc. then whats the problem?
I can understand Harleys getting defected, because straight through pipes on a twin are pretty obnoxious. Inline 4's unless being revved near redline normally aren't that bad. There are exceptions, like shorty pipes with no baffles

The stealer wanted mine but it was sold without them refitting it.Ewok1958 wrote:Some time ago (earlier this year or late last year), the Bega Valley cops decided to put unroadworthy notices on bikes with after-market cans, forcing the unfortunate owner to have to put the original back on, and clear the defect notice. There must be some sa members on here that can help out. Sending the boat anchor to you from WA might cost quite a lot due to weight and sheer size of the exhaust

Re: Wanted 1250 bandit exhaust
Likewise. I have an as-new OEM muffler in my shed that the original owner replaced with the Staintune that is on my '08.
Make me an offer that covers the freight Darwin - Adelaide plus a bit for packing (and the beer consumed whilst packing) and its yours.
