Re: Fat Gecko Mini Camera Mount
Ive got the same mini mount. got it 2 months ago off ebay delived for $3. ive got a couple of cheap cam's to play with too.
Re: Fat Gecko Mini Camera Mount
There's six minutes I'll never get back
No, seriously, that looked great, looking forward to some action shots from the Putty or Oxley, looks like you're close to the beach, nice area.

Re: Fat Gecko Mini Camera Mount
Ive got one of these MD80 mini cam's as well. its good for around 40mins of recording but its hard to line up. so no good videos yet.
Re: Fat Gecko Mini Camera Mount
that was a bargain [except u ran the film in reverse] - $20 all up for a mount and cam. i never use ebay - maybe i should check it out.
with that mount you can get some really good positions - i was quite impressed with the shot of the front wheel when i stuck it on the side of the engine - didnt come off either [mount that is]. i want to do a bit more experimenting and see where else i can put it - on fairing facing back - or facing back on the engine etc etc- and edit a series of shots together when i see what looks good i will make a HD movie with a decent cam

Mate I reckon replacing the right hand reflector on the fork leg with a flat surface to mount a cam on would be a good spot. I have thought about this for a while and I think I now have the right mount and cam to buy thanks to this thread.
Re: Fat Gecko Mini Camera Mount
I dont think the fork leg well work 2wheelsagain, to much movememt. Vibration is the big killer of a good shot.
Masher i tried the motor mount. there is less Vibration from the motor then on the tank
i found a handy clip on utube about CMOS Vs CCD Rolling Shutter Effect

Thanks mate.
I have bought that mount. Should be here this week.
The camera only seems to be 320 X 240 so I'll be looking for something a bit higher resolution than that.
I could use my 1080p HD Canon but wouldnt want to go back to the finance controller and ask for another one

Did u watch the utube clip on the CCD chip?
A lot better on bikes, For the vibs. Most of the good brands have CCD.

Excellentquality camera.
Nice to see another rider who thinks 6th is just for trundling down the highway and works the bike in 4th and 5th.
Sounds like the mic was under the seat.
I'd be happy with that setup although a higher camera and less dash would be better.
