best fix for a better head light set up
Just asking has anyone changed the headlight out on a bandit 1250. I do a lot of night riding, was thinking of putting some Led on the side or could I change the light for better lighting thanks.

If you type headlights ............(and also lights ) into the search box at the top of the page , there are all sorts of solutions to your problem from various members .

There should be a button , tag .......possibly at the bottom of the page to change from mobile view to classic view ...............which has the search box . You can always change the view back if you prefer after

Barry is part way through a Projector lens conversion, not sure how that's going.
I'm running HIDs but I got pulled over for them earlier in the year and got told to remove them (still haven't ). Apparently the legality of them is debatable. I am thinking of changing to LEDs but not sure if they will keep the cops off my back either.

Re: best fix for a better head light set up
I put HID's in my 1250 Bandit and they were great.
I chose 35watt and 6000K colour temperature. If I do it again, I would chose bulbs between 4000K and 5000K as they do not have a blue tinge to the light and shouldn't get as much attention from the constabulary.
Before you begin your headlight conversion you might consider installing relays which will bring the voltage at the bulbs up to full battery volts.
When I began my HID project I did the relay conversion first and the headlight voltage went from 10.8volts to 12.6volts. ThisĀ gave the existing headlights a dramatic improvement and I probably didn't need to do the HID upgrade but I had already bought theĀ kits so went ahead.
Putting HID lights in to the existing housings is a cheap solution but it causes a lot of light "scatter". The correct solution is to fit projectors as done by Barry for a superior result.
