Greetings from Sydney Australia
Hi,
I have been checking out this forum for a while and decided it was time to say G'day. I live in the Hawkesbury region of Sydney Australian and have owned my K8 Bandit 1250S since 2013. I already have a Slip On exhaust, O2 Eliminator and Smart TRE installed and have had the throttle bodies synced and TPS adjusted. This removed most of the surging that I have heard others have had but I could still feel the lag in power further up the rev range. Finally I bit the bullet and purchased Dale Walkers stage II kit which includes removing the secondary butterflies and I will keep you posted on the difference it makes to the bike.

Welcome Radarak47. Panniers as well I see. My 2010 Bandit never really suffered the surging problem but it did benefit from a throttle body balance at about the 50,000km mark. All I had to do was by tag a six pack of his favourite beers ( )!

Re: Greetings from Sydney Australia
Thanks for the warm welcome all
Most of my surging issues were in the early stages, it already had the LASER Duotech slip on exhaust but no O2 eliminator. Getting the eliminator fixed most of the surging. The throttle body sync removed it to the point that I could live with it. The TRE just gave it a bit more poke in the lower gears.
I have always longed for a little more top end, again the torque of this engine allows me to forgive it (most of the time) With the addition of the stage II Holeshot kit I think that it will finally be everything I had hoped the bike would be.
The touring luggage was added as I intended to do some long runs and now is part of the furniture, A trip down to Wodonga earlier this year was the avatar pic you see before we left. I also have an MJM custom seat, they do great work for anyone down Goulburn way, or prepared to spend a day down there while they perform their magic.
Cheers,

Welcome aboard.
My 08 didn't surge either.
Must be a pain in the but to have one that does though.
Plenty of good info here and the occasional ribbing as you've probably seen.

Sounds like my type of crowd
I had the major issues sorted within a few weeks of owning the bike so it wasn't too painful. I have ridden plenty of potential replacement bikes and keep coming back to the fact I enjoy the bandit. I guess after the Holeshot mods I will consider suspension in the future.

All I can say is Wow!!!! with a rather descriptive word rhyming with tucking in front of the Wow!!
The Stage II kit from Holeshot is everything it is described to be. No more surging, the bike pulls and sounds more like a Banshee at full throttle! The front fork brace has changed completely the way the bike corners, it is very confidence inspiring
My wife enjoyed the power wheelies in first and second gear enough to tap her appeciation on the back of my helmet She also mumbled/screamed some encouragement but I couldn't hear exactly what she was saying over the induction/exhaust noise. When we pulled up she jumped off real quick to further admire the bandit
