stage 2 done..and a quick question about TRE
So i finally received dale walkers stage 2 kit (well just the tuner, pair valve elim kit and air filter) secondaries removed, airbox opened up.
Now i dont know if its just me or if im just not paying attention but i dont feel that much difference after the tuner being installed (obviously the pair valve made a huge difference) im yet to go for a decent ride and give the bike a bit of a good ole squirt
.
I do have a question about TRE'S not trees timing retard elim.. now i know theres a gipro with atre... but healtech make a xtre for the suzuki gsx1250fa which still utilizes the gear indicator in the dash but elims timing retard.. my question is it worth the money to spend on one? Is it really gonna make any difference? I hear claims that with a fi tuner u can still gain between 5-15+hp has anyone got any info on this??

Re: stage 2 done..and a quick question about TRE
The problem is that the ECU has 6 individual maps, 4 of which have timing retard applied. The TRE (I have a Healtech) allows you to 'lock' a single map (5th usually) and then use the supplementary fuel controller (I use a PC-V) to modify this map (which is where you make your gains). Otherwise, you need to do a map for each gear; which will cost you a bag load of dyno time.
All of the above is negated if you go auto tune.

"Will the TRE make a difference?" - No.
Like Dekenai, I have the Healtech, but got it mostly for the gear indicator, but turned the TRE on just cos it was there. The difference is pretty much negligible.
I went the PCV and Autotune route but have still mapped single gear only because with the TRE the bike thinks its always in fifth.
The PAIR removal has no effect on performance, it only makes top end maintenance easier and has the unwanted side effect of eliminating exhaust crackle on decel (unwanted depending on whether or not you want a cackling exhaust)

Stage 2 done.....and quick question about TRE
I have done similar mods as well but also delkevic headers and exhaust, Dales stage 2 kit makes a huge difference especially over 5500 in each gear, low and midrange have also improved, my bike was good and smooth before but is even better now, had a very slight hesitation between 2400-2600 more noticable in 3rd and 4th gears which is now completely gone, fuel consumption is the same as well on normal cruise and runs 2deg cooler, the stage 2 not only adds fuel where needed but also subtracts fuel from the ECU, if you dont feel any diference then you should talk to Dale, as Tag said the pair removal makes no difference to performance just cleans up the top of the bike, TRE i think makes a slight difference or did to my bike but mainly got it for the gear indicator, you need to take your bike on a good 200-300k ride to check it out properly.

I have ATRE on my bike, and i switced it off and on while it was on the dyno. It made no difference.

You make no statement of the circumstances. I.e. What gear are we talking? What mode was the ATRE in? Was it just a single run? Did you compare runs with different ATRE modes and gear combinations?
Please take this as written; I am not having a go at you.

Dekenai I did the same on the dyno and the atre definitely made no difference. I had it on gear 5 mode. I turned it off and just use the gear indicator these days

Hi, we did a run from 2 to 6 gear with ATRE at 5th gear set, and then a second run from 2 to 6 gear with ATRE at off position. We did not see anything on the dyno that ATRE affect perfomance

The Bandits timing retard switches off when approaching full throttle so if the runs were at WOT then you'd expect no difference.

Re: stage 2 done..and a quick question about TRE
Any updates on your bike?
Seems very strange as my bike made a good gain in torque and hp and smoothness with the stage 2 and delkevic setup
I couldn't feel any difference with ATRE on 5th gear either but gear indicator is nice
