Hi from Canberra
Hi all
New member from Canberra here. I have a blue 2014 GSX1250FA. Just loving it - traded up from a kwaka 650.
I've been reading here about the performance mods - removing the butterflies and fixing the airbox. Anyone have any suggestions about where I could go to in Canberra to get these done?? I could probably figure it out myself, with the help of youtube, but time is what I have less of....
cheers

Hi Daffy and welcome to the forum.
Both of those mods you can easily do yourself in an hour. There is a write up on here on what and how to do it.

G'day Daffy, welcome along.
Which Kwaka did you come over from, roadie or the likes of a KLR?
Enjoy the new ride

Welcome aboard Daffy. A few people go to Motogarage up in Mitchell for the sort of work you're wanting done but the threads here are good if you reckon you have a morning to spare to tackle it yourself. Might see you around as I'm just two hours down the hwy in the Bega Valley.

Hi Kiwisteve
From a ER6F - Ninja 650R. Have been looking at a KLR though for pottering around the back roads and properties out west. Pretty bulletproof I think.

Great! Thanks, Ewok. Might try them.
I get down your way sometimes. But planning an Adaminaby trip this weekend before the Snowy highway starts to ice up. Great road.

Hi Daffy - there's a couple of members in the Canberra region, I'm sure if you ask around someone can work with you.
As others have said, there is no black magic to unlocking some free extra horses, or just smoothing out what you already have, you'll be surprised how easy it is.

Welcome to the forum, Daffy.
It's certainly worth the reward of doing your own work. The resultant increase in performance, the sense of achievement of doing something that you thought was too hard or time consuming and the dollars saved that can be spent on new tyres and the like.
