Fastest colour Bandit available
I've done the trip to Cowra, Drake & Parkes. The good old RED "06" is now going to go to a good home.
She has a low 28,863 klm on her. She was bog stock standard when I bought her a few years ago. I have fitted a Delkevic can & a Cruise In Comfort sheepskin seat cover.
I may have a Ventura rack & bag available also, depending what I replace her with.
I have serviced this bike each year I have owned her. I only did about 2500klm last year, but dropped the oil (& replaced it) before heading to Parkes.
After looking at Bikepoint, I'm thinking $5300 is a fair price to put on her.
Pm me your email address, & I'll be happy to send you some pics.
Cheers, Steve

I was seriously looking at a red Indian Scout. But after the Parkes meet up, I'm thinking it won't do the mileage to our forum meets, as it has a pathetically small fuel tank.
Today I took a new Yamaha MT 09 Tracer, & a Triumph Tiger 800 for a run. I still have to take the Triumph Tiger Sport for a run in the next few days. So far, even tho it has less power than the MT 09 Tracer, I'm leaning toward the Tiger 800 XRx.

Like you 2w, I've found a few shortcomings in the bandit. Love the power & torque, but I think both of the above bikes have shown how ummm, dare I say it, I'll put it this way, made to a price the Bandit is.
That's reason enough mate. At the end of the day there's a bike for everyone.

Good onya Steve. The MT-09 has a smallish tank. Something you need to take into account if you are going to do some long hauls.

Re: Fastest colour Bandit available
I'm sure I read somewhere that the MT09 Tracer has a larger fuel tank (which would make sense, an absolute necessity in fact).
Edit: Yep, 18 litres, compared to the MT09's 14 litres.

Had a sit on the new V-strom 1000 up the Gold Coast way. They didn't have a demo available at the time, but the seat appeared to have very square edges! Very similar on the MT 09 Tracer, (& yes, tracer has an 18l tank).
My nearest local Suzuki dealer is about an hour away, & is more into farm & trail bikes than road bikes

I've only just got enough room in the garage between the cars for 2 wheels Hammy! (No, not 2WA)

I wouldn't let a seat get in the way of the right bike. Plenty of after market options available. Totally up to you though

Simple solution.
Trade a car on a bike. Then you'll have plenty of room for the Bandit and your new bike. Win, win.
You're happy and so is your Bandit.

I didn't think of trading a car, we've got an over abundance of the buggers at the moment!

It doesn't always rain here Chook, we've had a great few days, even this morning was nice, but it's just dumped about 30mm in a half hour
